The Eve of the Resurrection
We give you thanks, O God, for revealing your Son Jesus Christ to us by the light of his resurrection: Grant that as we sing your glory at the close of this day, our joy may abound in the morning as we celebrate the Paschal mystery; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Said only on this one night — the eve of the Resurrection, kept every week.
At the Offertory, we return thanks for God’s blessings in our lives.
The Episcopal Church Welcomes You
Come as you are — there's no dress code and nothing to prepare. The service moves between sitting, standing, and kneeling; follow along as you're able, or simply stay seated. Join in the spoken and sung responses as much or as little as feels right.
Communion: All who hunger for God are welcome to come forward during communion. The Celebrant will place a consecrated wafer in your palm. Consume the bread and, if you wish, receive the chalice (please grasp the chalice to guide it). You may also leave the bread in your palm for the chalice-bearer to dip in the wine and place on your tongue. Gluten-free wafers are available; please indicate to the priest if you require this alternative. Those who do not wish to receive communion are welcome to come forward for a blessing, indicated by crossing your arms over your chest.
